Dear Friend,
Once a year, the United Way of Bloomfield asks for your support to help those in need. Our 2007-2008 appeal is more important than ever and every dollar you donate goes to help the people who live and work in Bloomfield.
Imagine loosing your home or employment. Think how difficult it would be to keep your children in their school or how getting a new job could seem an impossible task . Fire, eviction, loss of a job, illness and the lack of affordable housing, is a growing problem in our community. As a result, more and more people in need are referred to the United Way of Bloomfield by our Hospitals, the American Cancer Society, the United States Military, the New Jersey Disability program, and other government agencies.
The United Way of Bloomfield continues to support programs such as day care for low income children, facilities for children at risk, early education programs, as well as agencies for the mentally ill, rape victims, abused women, and crime prevention. Let us not forget our elderly, the Military returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, people with Cerebral Palsy, Down’s syndrome and other afflictions. The United Way helps by supplying food, prescriptions, workshops and so much more.
We need your support to continue to do what we do best, “People helping people”. Please make a donation today, to help us help Bloomfield.
“COMMUNITY MATTERS” “One seed can start a garden, one smile can lift a spirit, One candle can light a room, one conversation can start a friendship, one step can begin a journey, one heart can love many, one person can make a difference, - “THAT ONE PERSON IS YOU”!!!
Yours truly,
