Message From The President
Americans’
compassion and concern for one another is a large part of what makes
our Nation unique.
The
mission of the United Way of Bloomfield and its volunteers remain
committed to promoting the well-being of those in need who live and
work in Bloomfield. Our United Way agencies’ programs touch
everyone from infants to senior citizens.
Today
your neighbor may be healthy, physically and mentally but what about
tomorrow? Tragedy strikes quickly and unexpectedly. There are many
of your neighbors living within Bloomfield, who have experienced such
reversals. We all need help from time to time.
Fortunately
there are a number of programs that provide assistance with a variety
of health and human services.
The
need for basic human services has reached an unparalleled level. The
unemployed, homebound seniors, victims of domestic violence, youth at
risk, food banks, and the homelessness, cannot keep up with needs and
demand. Our priorities are meeting basic needs and responding with
services that help our neighbors in crisis.
Men,
women and children of all races and creed are given something
unforgettable when you give to the United Way. Once a year we ask for
your support. Our primary interest is “People” and no one in
need is excluded. Won’t you please join with us by contributing
generously?
Employees
can use the convenient payroll deduction plan. Firms, small
businesses and individuals can “pledge” now and we will bill you
in 2006.
On
behalf of the United Way of Bloomfield and those that received your
help “Thank You” for your support yesterday, today and
tomorrow.
Sincerely
yours
Vincent
